Divine Beliefs
I briefly considered the title of religious beliefs for this section, but decided against it, since I do not think of myself as religious. Now, you may believe with some, all, or none of what I'm saying here. That is your opinion entirely. The information is here for those who care to hear it.
I am a Pagan (def. (n.): one who is not Christian, Jew, or Muslim), and will leave it at that for now. I included the definition to avoid instantaneous thoughts of devil worshipping (which, unfortunately, comes to many peoples' minds upon hearing the word "Pagan"). I give you my word that I have not, do not, and will not ever worship any devil- or demon-like being. You have my promise on that.
I believe there are powers above us; beings that have shed this mortal coil (if they had one)
and ascended to a higher state of
being. They may have once been human. I do not know if they govern any aspects of this world; most often,
I feel they are observing, but taking little action. They may make suggestions, to prod us in the right
direction; but who's to say what is "right", in that context? If they prod us in the direction they think
is right, how do we know it is right for us? We don't. I don't feel there is any higher power guiding
my actions. I don't believe there is a "plan" for me. I think I make my own plan, but I still feel there
is someone up there watching over me, even if he/she does not intervene.
