Music

My music interests are greatly varied. Some of my favorite musical artists:
Metallica Static X Creed Sevendust
Coal Chamber Type O Negative Bon Jovi Jewel
Enya Tool Tantric Linkin Park
Fuel Godsmack Disturbed Blind Guardian
Kittie Beastie Boys Alice in Chains Soundgarden
Dragonland Rage Against the Machine System of a Down Nickelback
Slipknot Evanescence The Offspring Soilwork
Flyleaf Lacuna Coil Loreena McKennitt Avenged Sevenfold

One of the biggest factors that determines what I listen to and when is my mood. I seem to crave "mood enhancing" music, even if the mood is a bad one. If I'm angry, I'll crave angry music, if sad, sad music, etc. Most I have talked to say they are the same way. Are we all emotional masochists?

RPGs

Ah, the great role-playing game.  I am an avid fan of Dungeons and Dragons, and have been playing for some 17 years or so.  During this time I have experienced many variations of this game and have played many other types of RPGs as well, ranging from Vampire: The Masquerade to Gamma World, which, while fun for a short time, did not keep my interest in the long run the way that true D&D has.  I also am interested in live-action roleplaying (LARPs).

If you like acting of any sort, or just like to play as someone you're not (hence "role playing"), this is a good experience for you.

Physical Activity

Yes, once in awhile I do get around to doing some physical excercise.
Fencing
Yoga
Ultimate Frisbee
Volleyball
In-Line Skating
Everything else

-Fencing

While attending Marist, I joined the Fencing club.  I find this to be quite an enjoyable sport.  I wish I was close enough to school to still attend some of the practices.  I have been told I am quite good at it.  Part of this reason would probably be because I am pretty thin, therefore having less target area than others.  At any rate, it's a good sport. If you haven't tried it, I suggest it.

-Yoga

There's another good one. Relaxing, yet it stretches you out and well...you just feel damn wonderful after doing it, if a little sore for a couple days.  After a couple weeks, you get used to it, and look forward to it each day.  A good workout, yet relaxing to the max.  Can you beat that?

-Ultimate Frisbee

Now here is a good game.  If you haven't played, go get yourself a 175 gram frisbee (professional weight and the only way to fly -- no pun intended), find some friends and get out there.  If you don't know how to play, you'll find a comprehensive list of Ultimate Frisbee links here.

-Volleyball

A good team game and overall a fun experience.  Just watch out for the floor burn during inside games. It's a killer.

-In-line Skating

Something I learned how to do several summers ago, and it turned out that I'm quite a natural at it.  Now don't expect to see me doing tricks out in the parking lot or anything, but at least I can go in a straight line (mostly) and stop when necessary (usually). Ok, so I need a little practice.  If you've got a little extra money and want to try something new, I suggest this.  Again watch out for the burn -- this time from the pavement or asphalt.  Worse than floor burn, trust me.

-Else

Skiing, walking, hiking, martial arts.

All listed vary from good to great excercise.  Get out there and do something!
